The CoreOS Asia team within Apple’s CoreOS organization seeks a logical thinking software engineer with exceptional communication skills to collaborate on the design and triage of genuine Apple repair parts for our next-generation devices under rapid product iteration. Description
Your primary responsibilities will be to design and implement a sustainable solution for the manufacturing of Apple repair parts for iPad and Mac products. This role requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams, including platform architecture, CoreOS, AppleCare, OPS, to determine the optimal solution across various aspects.
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries in the early stages to comprehend the requirements and design the manufacturing process. Provide the necessary software implementation support.
- Identify and resolve software-related issues encountered within the factory and customer environments relating to repair components.
- Prioritize security and performance, enabling key features while protecting privacy and preventing fraud.
- Engaging in technology development will provide you with the opportunity to significantly influence the implementation and quality of Apple’s next-generation products.
- Up to 10-20% travel.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, electronic engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in solution design, involving collaboration with multiple teams throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, from conception to deployment.
- Proficient in conducting thorough research and analysis of evidence to identify potential solutions and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
- Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Object-C, or Swift.
- Proven experience in software issue debugging
- Solid understanding of operating system concepts with related courses training or projects experiences.
- Well manage time and resource effectively to keep project on track
- Fluent in both oral and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and a self-directed, proactive approach to problem-solving are evident. The ability to overcome obstacles and generate trust and alliances with colleagues is also noteworthy.
- Proven creative, critical logical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
- 2+ years' work experience as a system or embedded software engineer
- Highly self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently.
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability and comfort in various settings.
- Proficiency in developing and debugging software issues related to embedded systems.
- Proficiency in hardware platforms and processor architectures.
- Proficiency in operating system design and systems programming principles.
