Software Validation Engineer will be focusing on validating Intel PSG FPGA configuration and embedded software for the HPS stack. Your specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Apply advanced techniques to achieve FPGA configuration, software validation with the highest quality, productivity, and time-to-market.
Create comprehensive SW validation test plan based on architecture specification. The validation plan encompasses functional and system level.
Developing system level tests and necessary coverage goals based on specification to verify the firmware, IP and tools implementation.
Writing directed and random test cases, debugging failures, filing and closing bugs. Identify emerging software or validation technologies that can improve configuration validation efficiency and able to apply shift left methodologies such as simulation and emulation.
Technical leadership is expected to support a culture of idea generation, proliferation and innovative solutions to complex problems.
In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Qualifications
Successful candidate's qualifications should include the following: Bachelor's/Masters or PhD degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with experience in software/firmware verification/validation.
Experienced using advanced system design and validation methodologies and technologies such as FPGA prototyping, emulation, simulation and co-emulation.
Knowledge of and experience with Perl, Python2/3, including reading Hardware/ Software specifications and turning them into tests.
A strong work ethic/drive to always improve and works well in collaboration with other
Have ability in debugging/analyzing failures while connecting the dots to solve issues.
Able to work efficiently and independently once familiar with our systems and processes.
A keen eye for calling out and raising issues without fear of being reprimanded and willing to take calculated risks.
Strong in both written and verbal communication skills.
