Intel is looking for a motivated and talented student to join our Product
Data and Analytics (PDA) team as a Data Engineering student.
We are developing a state-of-the-art high-scale cloud-based solution, leveraging a microservices
architecture to go along with managed cloud services, all towards creating a modern SaaS datalakehouse, with self service capabilities, ingestion\consumption services, and other features that
help data professionals across Intel's design teams make better data-driven decisions.
Data and Software Engineers at PDA strive to provide a cutting-edge analytics solutions by using
state-of-the-art data technologies such as Databricks (Spark), Azure Data Factory, SQL and NoSQL
databases, etc...
During the course of your tenure as a student you will:
- Gain a deep understanding of data technologies and usage, as well as a special expertise in
Data Lakehouses, streaming, big data, performance optimizations, data quality, etc
- Contribute to a python framework, utilizing the spark engine and used by Data\BI
developers to build, optimize and maintain data pipelines.
- Experience a full development life-cycle, starting from requirements, through developing, and up to testing and deployment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
-Pursuing a Masters\Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Data Science,
Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 3 semesters
left until graduation.
-Availability to work 2-3 days a week during the semester
- Basic SQL knowledge, familiarity with relational databases.
-Programming\scripting skills.
-Understanding of OOP principles.
-Familiarity with GIT.
-Mentality of a team player, sense of ownership and urgency.
Bonus Qualifications:
-Experience with Python development including OOP programing principles
- Advanced SQL.
- Experience with Apache Spark(Python)
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
-Experience with databases, including data modelling, stored procedures, functions, triggers,
indexes, partitions etc..
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI\Tableau.
