The candidate will be part of a model development team in Altera, an Intel Company in location Bangalore in System Level Design space involved in creation of Virtual Prototypes (simulation models) for FPGA SoC for hard and soft IPs and Pre-Silicon development and bring up of Firmware/Linux/Zephyr/BareMetal software and applications. The candidate will be involved in hands-on coding and development, testing, integration and maintenance of Virtual Prototype/Simics models. The candidate must have strong communication and inter-personal skill to effectively collaborate with hardware architects, driver and firmware counterparts.NOTE:
In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Qualifications
Bachelors/Master's degree in EC/CS2 - 6 years of experience, majority of which in modeling and embedded software domain
Expertise in functional modelling of various hardware peripherals in a complex SoC using C/C++/Simics/SystemC/TLM
Good knowledge of CPU and SOC architecture
Excellent programming skills (e.g. C, C++) that enable the source code level fixing of issues.Good experience at model-based problem solving that enable the effective investigation and narrow-down of complex issuesUnderstanding of CPU Architecture, Operating System, Driver, BIOS and FW fundamentals.
Experience with Python bases scripting
Strong low level debugging skills that enable the root causing of issues at the firmware and hardware level and Operating System (OS) internals Linux kernel hands on development/test experience
Knowledge of Pre silicon Milestones, Methodologies and Hardware-Software co-design
Experience of FPGA design flow would be a plus
Experience of Synopsys Virtualizer, GEM5, QEMU opensource frameworks would be a plus
