What You Will Achieve

Your knowledge of informatics will help in supporting Pfizer Oncology through development, support and validation of computer systems. You will be required to generate high-quality assay data in a regulated cGLP (current Good Laboratory Practice) laboratory setting to support Pfizer’s Research programs and design harmonized processes. With a combination of your technical and documentation skills, you will validate documents related to regulatory support for the organization's software solutions.

As a Data Analytics & Modeling Manager, you will be responsible for working across multiple systems with varying degrees of ownership to ensure data quality and integrity while maintaining streamlined reporting, dashboards and analytics. Also responsible for implementing data modeling, analysis, and predictive analytics and operational models, centered around resource/capacity management and planning across Pfizer Oncology. Other duties include, but not limited to, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing a strategic technology platform and related metrics and dashboards that support resource/capacity planning and management reporting, benchmarks, predictive analysis, and outcomes.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Support Resource Planning & Management team and drive data analysis and integrity through several systems (i.e., Planisware (RAPID, MyTrial) CRIS and other demand/capacity reporting tools)

  • Manage overall data integration workstream - develops, prioritizes, and recommends initiatives to build upon the data architecture to support the business

  • Partners in close collaboration with business functions to determine and validate tool functionality, configuration, and data requirements to ensure that the analytic capability is supporting the most current business needs

  • Review, modify, and enhance algorithm development – build up predictive analysis and modeling tools

  • Evaluates the design, selection, and implementation of database changes by comparing them with business requirements

  • Own contributions to industry benchmark studies on costs as well as interpretation of results

  • Assists the technology, systems, and process workstreams to define the shared data model vision, data sourcing, data transformation, and data reconciliation approach

  • Demonstrate a solid ability to tell a story with simplistic views of complex datasets

  • Deliver data reliability, efficiency, and best-in-class data governance, ensuring security and compliance

  • Build dashboard and reporting proofs of concept as needed; develop reporting and analysis templates and tools

  • Develop and regularly update database design, how-to guides and relevant documentation and innovate new strategies and tools such as dashboards, metrics, and KPIs

  • Ensures consistency of process(es) and champions best practices in data management oversee data accuracy processes, goals, and assessment

  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations, with a primary focus on executive level materials

  • Works with business owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manages a list of technical requirements based on business needs, recent technologies, known defects, and issues

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree required, scientific or technical focus preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (R&D operational strategy and finance a plus) with ability to translate complex business questions and requirements and develop effective solutions

  • Business experience and thorough understanding of processes associated with operational aspects of clinical development

  • Expert in Excel, SQL, XML, dashboard tools (PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau). Strong working knowledge Planisware, Business Objects and SaaS systems.

  • Expertise in resource algorithm design and development. Through knowledge of various programming languages, web development. technologies, computer architecture.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking, sound business judgment and acumen

  • Ability to translate complex business questions and requirements and develop effective solutions

  • Ability to synthesize detailed information from multiple, disparate sources, understand the underlying data and be able to interpret and articulate key takeaways to executive leadership

  • Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Masters, MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.

  • Planisware certification is a plus.

  • Demonstrated understanding of early and late-stage drug development process and portfolio management.

  • Familiarity with clinical trial execution, regulatory and/or safety organizations.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00.
