Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in a cross-functional team with Product Manager (PM), User Experience (UX), User Experience Researcher (UXR), Google Technical Services (gTech), and Business Development (BD).
  
• Knowledge of sustainability, user experience, and product excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop product or system code.
• Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Identify the best way to contribute to the codebase and products.
